1. These terms
This site, freeaustraliancitizenshiptest.com.au, is run by Eprotech Pty Ltd (ABN 43 644 335 535), an Australian company. "We" and "us" mean that company. "You" means anyone using the site.
By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Read these terms together with our privacy policy(privacy policy) and our disclaimer(disclaimer).
2. What we provide
We provide practice questions and explanations to help you prepare for the Australian citizenship test.
- Practising is free, and so are the explanations. There is nothing to join before you start. - There is one paid extra, described in section 4. It is optional. - We are not the Government and we do not run the real test. Section 8 says more.
We are not obliged to keep any particular question, topic or feature on the site, and we may add to it, change it or remove parts of it.
3. Your account
You do not need an account to practise. You need one if you want your results kept between visits.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian first. - Give us an email address that works and that is yours. Sign-in links are sent to it, so whoever can read that inbox can reach your account. - One account is for one person. Do not share it or sell access to it. - Tell us at [email protected] if you think somebody else has got into your account.
We can suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, to attack the site, or to copy our material. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.
You can ask us to close and delete your account at any time. Write to [email protected]. The privacy policy explains what happens to the record.
4. The paid extra
The paid extra costs A$9.90.
- You pay it once. There is no repeating charge, no renewal, and nothing to cancel. - It does not gate or hide any question or explanation. Those are free for everybody, with it or without it. - What it adds: the questions you save, your result history, and a view of which parts of the booklet still need work. - Payment is taken by our payment provider. You enter your card details with them, not with us.
It is not a promise of a result. Buying the extra does not make you more likely to pass in any way we can promise, and it does not guarantee a pass. See section 9.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply to this purchase and we do not limit them. If what we sold you is faulty, is not as described, or does not work, contact us at [email protected] and we will put it right.
Beyond those statutory rights we do not offer a separate refund policy. The purchase is a one-time payment for permanent access, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing recurring to stop. Your Australian Consumer Law rights above are unaffected by this and cannot be excluded.
5. How you may use the site
You may use the site to study for the citizenship test, for yourself.
You may not:
- copy, download in bulk, scrape or republish our questions, answers or explanations - sell our material, or use it to build or train a competing product or a dataset - use a bot, crawler or script to pull content off the site - try to get into any account, system or data that is not yours - break the site, overload it, or get around its security - upload anything harmful, or anything unlawful - use the site to harass anybody
6. Who owns what
The questions, explanations, wording, layout and design of this site belong to Eprotech Pty Ltd or to the people who licensed them to us. You may read and study them. You may not republish them.
The booklet Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond is published by the Department of Home Affairs and is made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. That booklet belongs to the Commonwealth, not to us, and you can get it free from the Department. Our questions and explanations are our own writing based on it.
The name of this site and our logo are ours. Please do not use them to suggest we endorse you or that you are us.
7. What you send us
If you send us a correction, a question or an idea, we may use it to improve the site, and we do not owe you a payment for it. We will not publish your name against it.
Please do not send us confidential information, and do not send us somebody else's personal information.
8. We are not the government
Eprotech Pty Ltd is an independent company. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs.
The real test is run only by the Australian Government. We cannot book it, sit it for you, change it or influence its result, and we have nothing to do with your citizenship application. The disclaimer(disclaimer) sets this out in full.
9. No promise of a result
Our material is to help you study. We do not guarantee that you will pass the real test, and we do not guarantee the outcome of your citizenship application.
We write and check our questions against the Department's booklet, and we do not promise that they are free of error or that they match the real test's questions. If you find a mistake, tell us at [email protected].
10. Availability
We try to keep the site up. We do not promise that it will always be available, fast or free of faults, and we may take it down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
11. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Those rights cannot be excluded and we do not try to exclude them.
Beyond those rights, and so far as the law allows:
- we are not responsible for a loss caused by relying on material on this site, by the site being unavailable, or by your result in the real test - where we can limit our liability, it is limited to the amount you have actually paid us. If you have paid us nothing, that amount is nothing.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. If we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top and publish the new version here. If a change matters to you, we will say so more loudly than that. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. If something in these terms does not hold
If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given it up.
These terms, the privacy policy and the disclaimer are the whole agreement between you and us about this site. You may not transfer your rights under them to somebody else without our agreement.
14. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales and of the Commonwealth of Australia, and any dispute goes to the courts of New South Wales.
